Camp WON: Where Inner-City Children Experience Nature's Magic

Summer at Camp WON offers a unique summer experience. As showcased on Day 1 with Jabril Evans, the journey from Philly's streets to the serene heart of the Poconos is truly special.

For many of our inner-city children, nature remains something they've only seen in pictures or heard about. But at Camp WON, it's something they live. They feel the soft grass beneath their feet, experience the refreshing splash from the pool, and the excitement of catching their first fish. It's the pride they feel when they see a plant they've nurtured begin to grow, and the joy of playing sports with new friends surrounded by trees and open skies.

There’s more to Camp WON than just outdoor activities. It's about finding a sense of peace and calm that city life often doesn’t provide. Through experiences like farming and fishing, children not only have fun but also learn about the importance of nature and why it's essential to protect it.
